What you need to do is this 1) Set up Chessmaster as say white in the chessmaster gui and the ebbohard winboard auto232 adaptor as black in the chessmaster gui. 2) Then run Winboard as per normal to connect fics. but the engine you select will be the winboard auto232 engine. I did it once some time ago, just to see if it's doable. It is, but obviously highly unstable.
