I did not try to calculate it with a computer but common sense tell me that
I can win material with white in 5 plies.

1.e3 2.Qf3 3.Q capture at least a pawn.

black may get back more material but it is only in the 6th ply so I do not care
about it if I do brute force search with no qsearch and no extensions for 5
plies.

I guess that it is possible to prove that with even number of plies it is
impossible to win material for 6 plies,8 plies,10 plies,12 plies,14 plies but it
is possinble to get material advantage for 7,9,11,13 plies.
