a german language single processor edition became available in Octoberof2003. It has the same vrml piece sets of DF8. I rather assume some contractual agreement with X3D licensing may have affected english language distribution of the single processor engine at a lower price than the american producer's price. I also noticed that the dec 02 upgrade of fritz is pretty good, I think it may give you the new engine for gratis. (i mean 8.0.0.26) and I believe there's some free update with the new turboDVD set but i don't own this.
