Hi Rolf, seems that things get better - at least you managed it somehow to put a smile on my face... thats a good start... :) >> But I may add that one of the rule is that if something is not declared in >> the rules FIDE rules will be taken... Thats the point how the TD explains >> his decision... > But the passivity "rule" means what? Did Zwanzger violate that rule? With the > bad intention to avoid that rule and hence he cheated. It's so simple. a) Zwanzger was not fully aware of that rule b) in trying to make everything correct he made a mistake. You understand me, a MISTAKE ! He had never any bad intention to avoid the rule. Funny is, that you relate here bad intention with cheating. So what should I think now about your opinion about cheating ? :) >> Of course I do not agree with it - I think that the correct result should >> be a draw... anyway there is no point where we can claim Johannes as a >> cheater - he made an understandable mistake - and I am quite sure that Bob >> understands this also. And I agree with Bob that the TD decision about that >> game was not correct. > So here we agree completely, thanks. But now my nerving question: why did you > not oppose the decision? Why did you tolerate that Amir did the same??? Why > did you tolerate that ChessBase-Fritz refused to appeal? I DID ask the TD at the players meeting about this topic some questions - and he did present me his opinion. Afaik also Amir and Vincent had some questions. The decision was made by a Jury of 3 persons... Finally we all accept it with some headache... that was maybe wrong - but speaking for myself I must say that it was simply my first WCCC... and on first sigth the hole decision seems to me sound - but not correct, somewhat paradox... Well, and about Amir and the Fritz-team ? Should I force them to complain ???? They must know themself what they do - and I am very sure that they know it, I have great respect for both. >> Correct decision of TD should have been: Declare the game as draw and inform >> Johannes that his decision was not correct. Period. > No, you can't say that, we will become friends in the end, no, please refuse > to say that, please. :) Okay, instead of saying it again I quote it again... Can we stop now this friend-nonsense ? :) >> Rolf, when you are in any elite like you declare yourself in CTF then you >> belong to the elite in getting on somebodys nerves... That is the only >> thing you are good at ! > I doubt it but perhaps I can help you in your understanding what I meant > because I can see that you completely misunderstood what I meant. I believe that I understood you quite well... :) > There are many elites in a country. Of course I agree - and you belong definitely to the elite in getting on somebodys nerves... :) I haven't seen anything yet where you are nearly as good as in that. Do you know "Badesalz" ? You may search the title "Hessi James" on their album "DiWoDaSo" - it is also on their best of album. The role of this Hessi James would perfectly fit on you... :) > Certainly academics belong to some elites. I believe that many academics think that - but very few of them deserve it... To get any academic grade is nothing respectable, everybody can get it if he tries hard enough or spents enough money. So an academic grade is neither sufficent nor condition to belong to any elite. Do you think your doctor did belong to an elite ? If yes, then okay, then we have a different opinion about elites. > Look, I don't continue this if you refuse to discuss the main point. In > manipulating with deliberate snips you already got all the Gold Medals > available. :) Nonsens - it might be different for you, but I started with computer based communication when 0.3k was the usual speed of everybody - there it was usual only to quote the parts you want to comment - simply to safe bandwith. Nowadays it seems to be common behaviour to quote hundres of line and comment with a single one... when you think that is fine, okay - we disagree here... And I can't get the Gold Medal here - to much honour for me - let's honour the one who deserves it, greates manipulator in the world: You... So I'm fine with the silver medal... :) Greets, Thomas
