I don't like SAN as part of a protocol. If the adaptor sends "protover 2" I think it better should be aligned with the winboard protocol. The 10 (about) GUIs/adaptors should follow the spec in detail and should also be forgiving to some extent instead of forcing the 250 engines that are around to be adaptive to 10 different dialects. /Peter
