No! you cannot read a DVD in a cd player. DVDs are nine times as dense as
CDs-datawise and the mechanics of the player does not allow it.
Alternatively, you can read CDs in a DVD reader-- and this is what Dr. Hyatt was
driving at.
DVD readers (internal ones without a case or a power supply - which would need
to be installed inside your computer box are cheapest) cost less than the
MegaBaseChessbaseDVD, about half the price of it. I suppose that if you could
afford one you might also afford the other.
