It won't work, even with compatibility mode. Chessmaster 7000 (and 8000 as well)
does not support WinXP or Win2K.

Only CM9000 will work on either of these platforms, and it does not have the
Vector board. The Vector board was replaced by the True-3D boards, which look a
lot better.
