I can't be sure about what happened to you friend. But I can make a general suggestion that might help you (maybe). Here's a good procedure when installing chessbase downloaded upgrades: 1) get the upgrade. 2) disconnect from the internet. 3) turn off anti-virus and firewall software. 4) NOW run the upgrade. this eliminates the possibility that antivirus software affected the quality of the installation. good luck and Merry X-mas!
