I tried to turn Tablebases off. My tablebases are located at c:\tablebases and
when changing main engine, I just uncheck the "Use Tablebases". However it only
seems to work for older engines type like Fritz 5.32 but also the relative new
Crafty 19.06 (native). Hiarcs9 and (Deep) Fritz 8 does not calculate at all. My
advice is to use Crafty 19.06, if that is appropriate to your needs.
