IIRC Ruffian 1.0.0 has a bug in pondering mode, which would explain why it runs
fine in eng-eng matches (ponder=off) and why it would crash.  You can either
download Ruffian 1.0.1 from the same site, or you can download it with Arena at
www.playwitharena.com
