I don't think it proves a thing, look at the + and - and look at the number of
games played. Also the rating difference given the number of games is not
significant. Finally there is even the average opponent rating which in the case
of the lower rated w/b adapter version "b" is a lot higher.

140 The Baron 1.0.2 : 2496 49 50 170 45.3 % 2529 16.5 %
160 baron 1.0.2 : 2468 81 51 100 27.0 % 2641 22.0 %
