Hello Pierre and Derek , and Happy New Year! I am not amazed by the novelty of junior8 , since already junior7 played ( at least , since I did not analyzed all the games ) the first is a "quasi-novelty" , since it has been 3 times before , with only a white win : 1 e4 e5 2 f4 exf4 3 Nf3 d6 4 d4 g5 5 h4 g4 6 Bxf4!? and junior7 won brillantly The second is an "absolute" novelty , since I find no trace of it in my database : 1 e4 Nf6 2 e5 Nd5 3 d4 d6 4 c4 Nb6 5 f4 dxe5 6 fxe5 Nc6 7 Be3 Bf5 8 Nc3 e6 9 Nf3 f6 (NT) , and ,of course , it has won I analyzed both , and the 2 Novelties hold ! Surely , thre are plenty of these examples , of which many are probably unseen Friendly Yours Claude Le Page
