It is a reasonable idea.  I simply don't do it at the present.  But the idea
is that you _could_ use feedback from the evaluation to guide the search.  IE
to trigger extensions (or reductions or outright forward pruning).

As I have said many times in the past, I think there are _multiple_ paths that
lead to the same final result (strong chess play).  Whether this is better or
worse than other approaches to manage the size of the search space is unknown.
