I didn't want to run the game with pondering. But the Auto232 device in Fritz automatically enables pondering when you go into auto232 mode. I e-mailed Chessbase and asked if their was a way around this, and guess what? No one ever e-mailed me back. As a matter of fact, you have to have a large book, TBs, enough hash, and pondering in order to even START a game...
