I'm not sure how many times it has saved my bacon, but certainly more than once. I also did the faster computer thing. I bought an FX-51, but I have yet to get the 64-bit stuff working. The 64-bit version of SUSE can't access the Promise controller and SATA drives that came with it. So I need to install a "normal" IDE drives (probably this weekend). Still, even without taking advantage of the 64-bit features and registers the speedup was *very* nice (roughly 2x). Worth a few elo anyway (at the very least it shouldn't make it weaker). Either way CCT-6 should be fun. --tom
