The value of a piece can vary quite significantly depending on the position. IE in some positions a bishop can be .5 more than a knight, in others .5 less. The bare piece values are just a start. For SEE to work correctly, piece values for B+N need to be the same, but the evaluation can modify them as desired later... > >Toni
