I am also not sure if Crafty is better than Sos(they seem to be near the same level) http://www.digichess.gr/infiniteloop/ratings/NIL3_final.txt It is possible that Crafty is simply better against gothmog and it is also possible that you do not use the right time control and crafty is better in blitz.
