Hello, and a happy new year to all! Since my recent ChestUCI Ver.3.1 will be the last for a rather long time, I would be very interested if my modified Chest (WinChest.exe) could be compiled better (i.e. faster) with any other compiler than my own version by MS-VC++ 6.0. Because I don´t have a fast internet connection, I can´t download any other (free) C-compiler to try this for myself, and so I´m looking for anyone, who has such a newer compiler ( MS-VC.Net, Intel 8, ...) and would have a little time to compile my C-source - it´s ANSI-C, a Win32 console application with all source files automatically included into ´WinChest.c´ and so it should work without any problems. So if anyone here is interested, I would send the source by email - and hope to get back a significantly faster WinChest. ;-) If there would really be a remarkable speed-up, of course I will make this new version available for all Chest friends. Best regards, Franz. PS. Please let me know your compiler - I don´t want to send it to several persons with the same compiler!
