DOS can multi task but it is very slow. I did it some time ago with two dos based chess programs. cm2000 and cm2100 I used some shareware program to control the two. I think it was called VMIX or something. I used dos 3.3 or dos 5. Not win95 dos!!! That is not not complete dos. Why it is true you can make win95 boot to dos by rewriting some files, to make it start up at the dos prompt like win3.1 does. Interupts are called differently between dos 3.3 and dos 6.2 so it is also between dos 6.2 and win95 or 98.
