Let us assume that a chess engine finds (with the help of tablebases, perhaps) that move A (which it has considered best until the last iteration) leads to a drawn position. Then, move B gives the program a very small plus (at the same depth). Is there any program that still chooses to play move A instead move B? I mean, it is very likely that move B leads to a deeper draw, but which is easy to play for the opponent; while move A gives the opponent many chances to go wrong. From a practical point of view, move A is to be preferred.
