Really? So if I buy Ruffian 2.0 (first commercial version) from ICD, the author
would somehow know I bought it? How?

Odd phrase. Telling of what? Deny what? I do think it is very telling that you
claim to be a commercial programmer, that you "know" some things, that you fling
mud left and right whilst claiming anonymity, and much more important, that you
claim to know a number of people, groups and individuals, who swap programs. You
see, I myself would not know this last claim, except for the recent complaints
against Swami-whatever-his-name-is. It's telling that you do.
