Indeed an interesting defence.
I tried a game after g4 Kb5. P4 2.53 GHz, ponder on (yes, ponder on, on one
computer - I think, it is not worse to judge the result than ponder off -
especially in late endgame positions with many TB-hits), both engines with 100
MB hash and all 5-men TBs. It ended draw:

Yace gets smaller score after a while in the root position, with a different
line:
