First of all, Ctrl-Ins and Shift-Ins *are* Windows standards. Go ahead and try
them. Highlight some of this text here and instead of Ctrl-C use Ctrl-Ins, then
paste it somewhere with Shift-Ins.
Second of all, I was unable to reproduce your problem, so perhaps there is a
special series of conditions involved. I had a List of games open and I then
chose a game and double-clicked on it. I then pressed Ctrl-Ins and pasted it in
Word without a hitch. I also varied this by highlighting a game and then
pressing the Enter key, and again I immediately hit Ctrl-Ins, and pasted with no
problems using either Shift-Ins or Ctrl-V.
This issue existed in fact in CA5 but should not exist with CA6 or CA7. The
issue stemmed from the fact that the notation pane wasn't always active, and
there would be no cursor blinking. In such a case, the clipboard functions would
yield nothing, but as mentioned, this should be gone. If you can give a clear
way to repeat this, including what version and patch (if any), I'm sure it will
be eliminated extremely soon.
