When I searched 8-8 I got 503 games from the Averbakh database and 2837 games from the Examples database. When I opened one of the games from the examples it took me directly to the position in the game where the 8-8 material balance was on the board, so the search returned what I was asking for. I wonder why you are having problems with this type of search. My version of CCE is 1.00 (build 1). Dadi
