My friend had a similar problem, and it was discovered that the CPU was
overheating and affecting the memory, the system was overheating and caused
errors in the processing as well as the memoy.

It came down to lack of cooling for the motherboard, and the motherboard itself
was also affecting the performance. Since it was a brand new computer he was not
to happy. So a new motherboard and fan install fixed it up.

You usualy get this when buying a made up system from smaller independant
companies that put their own systems together, less QA standards, and not
usually in brand name computers which have better QA teesting.

But on the other hand if this does not happen with any other software you have
used after long periods of time, then might be a software conflict somewhere.
