It should not be statistically relevant. No tournament (clodra, aufseß, wm) is statistically relevant. But a tournament with 6 or 10 rounds with 7 or 14 engines is more reliable than any other tournament. Finally you are right - it is still a tournament! It is sport and fun - like every league in the world. If we don t like this, why shouldnt we play any tournaments...? By the way: we are considering doing the same with genius6 and his engines shredder3, mchess8, Wchess, zarkov, tiger, etc. And playing a final with the winner of both leagues...
