Correct.  I was doing that "in the background, mentally" and e4 turned into
e5 when I typed it.

However, I don't see the reply, assuming the original idea of Be4 was really
forced...

I tried it on Crafty and it simply doesn't understand the position.  It didn't
like the position after h5 very well, much less after I made it play e4.  :)

This is a place for Gerd's flood-fill evaluation that ought to see what is
needed for the king to enter...
