I used "vars sinferno" [at ICC] to look at it's formula and found nothing there
that suggests anything out of the ordinary.  Similarly sfilter looks typical as
well.

All the chess engines playing at ICC have opening books and it seems a safe bet
that the stronger engines have good opening books.

My guess is that it is "earning" it's rating in the middlegame and endgame.
