Hello Axel, Some of the searching on the USPTO site is not very intuitive. It is script-centric and has parameters to specify in the fields or else it will return NULLS and not execute a database search. It does not work the way Google works. Also, in my patent, you will not find "Gothic Chess" from searching on it. Here is something you might try: 1. Go to http://www.uspto.gov 2. On the left, click on SEARCH under PATENTS which should take you to http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html 3. You now have to decide if you want t search on patents already issued or those still under review. On the left, start with QUICK SEARCH under ISSUED PATENTS 4. For the 'Field 1' entry type CHESS 5. For the 'Field 2' entry type VARIANTS 6. Make sure the rightmost selector is ALL FIELDS 7.
