Definetely true, although the difference certainly isn't big from a human
viewpoint :-). But I got the same impression from test positions, in terms of
solving times within 1 min. maximum (the number of solutions was nearly equal,
Hiarcs 9 21/24 and Shredder 7.SE 20/24).

Interesting thoughts. The H9 book has been somewhat critizised after release,
containing some doubtful or even clearly bad moves it containes. Maybe not a
decisive number. As for longer time controls, take a look at this tournament
which is currently running (90m+30s):

It is played with a "neutral," 10 plies deep opening book which all engines use.
Currently Hiarcs 9 is leading.
