Hi Martin, I remember reading somewhere that early on in the quest for the moon, NASA was examining a wide range of "brainstorms" to try and keep the weight of the spacecraft to a minimum. One of the ideas was to make edible packaging for some things that were to be used once during the space flight and not needing to be restowed. Supposedly, when NASA applied for a patent, it was refused since the edible container already existed. The invention: the ice cream cone! >something made me remember that i once visited a nice site, so i looked for it >again. in fact, i found multiple sites on this topic - check out the following >wacky stuff: > >-> A ladder to enable spiders to climb out of a bath >-> An ashtray which warns you to quit smoking. >-> anti-eating face mask >-> device for producing dimples > >...and much more. enjoy! > martin > >http://www.patent.freeserve.co.uk/index.html >http://www.purdue-law.com/wackypatents.html >http://inventors.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.delphion.com%2Fgallery
