What's going on? First, Ed Trice offered $10k to anyone who could beat his Gothic Chess program. Now, I came across this site offering $10k to any program that defeats a chosen human Arimaa chess player! I don't think its a hoax since it has the backing of the ICGA. http://arimaa.com/arimaa/challenge/2004/icgaNews.html Apparently, the US economy is not doing too bad; the way people are offering $10k purses in challenges to create a quality chess variant program.
