Larry, as far as I am concerned, I have noticed recently that I was spending more time downloading demos, playing with engines and checking out some of the posts here more than actually playing chess games and studying The Game of Kings itself!! Since my goal is to improve my game, it is pretty ridiculous and inefficient to spend so much time reading about programs instead of playing games, although I would not quit it altogether reading the posts here ;). Actually, it hit me tonight when I played a friend of about my strength and was blundering like there is no tomorrow while he played a solid game (I lost 0.5-2.5 G/15). He only has access to chess books(He loves those) and a portable. So I made a little pre-New Years' Resolution to check out CCC and rccc only once a day (extend it to every other day in '99). And use that time to study the game. I went a little crazy with the posts today (a little binge ;) ) but tomorrow is another day. So sometimes, those of us who want to improve our game need a wake up call. I got it tonight LOL. Mike
