I think part of the answer is that chess programs look very stupid in some
positions. And I suspect some of us to be delighted to find such positions! :)
It does not explain much, though, and I must admit I don't understand myself why
I spend hours trying to improve my program, and why, after so many years, it is
still a huge pleasure.
Is there a psychologist out there? Is it in relation with my childhood or my
mother???
