Turn out HT in the BIOS. Start a programm and count the seconds until it gets ply number X. Then start the program twice in parallel and count the seconds until the last program gets to this point. It is about 2.05 times. Turn on HT in the BIOS. Do the same. You will see, that the program alone will not gain. But two programs in parallel are about 20% faster. OJe
