Amen brother. It is easy to get started, all they have to do is form a Standards
committee, hire (or perhaps elect) a Facilitator, meet on a schedule and create
a working standard. To become a member of the Standards group members would be
required to pay an annual fee to support the committee. Such a committee for
example is the QIC (quarter inch cartridge committee) that has set the standard
for computer tape memory backup. It is the reason why all manufactured back up
widgets are compatable with each other. In the beginning it was a horrible mess,
non compatability abounded.

Creatative chess programming would not be affected, you guys can still do your
thing. Think about it. Some bold leader come forward and make a proposal.
