I have been playing online about a year now, and Vortex is completely new, of
course.

I prefer to duke it out using my own brains :)

For example, I can let Vortex think forever and it would not play some of my
moves, especially from this game...

Even the sacrifice made on move 28 is still too deep for the program to see. The
game of Gothic Chess has a very high branching factor, so I would expect people
to still have the advantage over computers.

But, if you think about 'the rule' -- is one that cannot be enforced really a
rule at all?

And also, this is a "postal" tournament, not real time. This will always favor
the human!

Anyone remember how Mike Valvo sacrificed a piece against Deep Thought in a
postal game and won, despite a reported 33 ply search depth?
