As you say without, but Ruffian comes with a CFG which should be used.

Agreed but if the CFG is set then there is no problem.

Agreed, but that is also the purpose of the CFG to set parameters.

Typically I always set log on and check the log so provided the program comes
with a configurable file and can set the log it isn't a problem.

There is a difference between understanding the problem and having a problem.
I don't see there is a problem if the log files are checked at least not in
Ruffian.
