Subject: CCT6 - an easy way to play with any engine WITH kibitz !

Hi,

this is mainly for those engine programmers that can't so far play at CCT
because they can't connect automatically and can't kibitz according to the
rules.
They only thing they should be capable of is now to play via auto232 - I will
explain you the rest:

Thanks to Remi Coulomb there is a nice auto232-adapter with source available. I
did some modifications to it: Before the engine makes the move (and the adapter
gets it via auto232 it must write a textfile where the informations are put in
which it wants to send, like kibitz etc.
When my modified auto232-adapter gets the move via the seriel port it first
takes a look if a textfile exists and then sends the info to winboard. After
that it deletes the file so that the engine can write a new one for the next
move.
This way it should be very easy for all uci-engines, chessbase-engines, whatever
to play at CCT - they can use there GUI of there choice and must just take care
that the engine writes some info each move and that they can use
auto232-protocol.
You can download the package with a bigger explanation here:

If you have troubles - just contact me via eMail... you can also have the
modified source if needed...

Greets, Thomas
