If the bug happens only in one game out of many games and you beat strong
players then you are still a strong player inspite of the bug.

I got the impression that inspite of the bug Shredder was better than Fritz and
the facts are that it beated Fritz in the playoff inspite of inferior hardware.

It was wrong to give it the world championship but it does not mean that
Shredder was not the best in the event.

The play off against Fritz is also part of the chess that was played and not
only the game against Jonny so saying that shredder played the best chess may be
correct.

Shredder scored only 1/2 point less than Fritz before the playoff(assuming
correct decisions) and shredder scored 1 point more than Fritz in the playoff so
the total result in fair comparison between Shredder and Fritz is that Shredder
scored 1/2 point more than Fritz.
