Ed Trice is changing his program rapidly. 1) He is almost done with adding SMP! 2) And generating some specialized Gothic Chess tablebases like KQ vs KA! He has some experience with draught for generating compressed tablebases. In other words he is able to swim in the same swimmingpool as Namilov! 3) Last but not least he uses a fast machine of 2.8Ghz machine! His program is already much stronger as the Gothic Vortex version that he recently released. I tried with TSCP to play against him. This version was modified with killermoves, different historyheurstic, pvs, better kingsafety, gothic chess piece square tables, and multiple speed enhancements. He kicked my butt in the last game with his Gothic Vortex. Gothic Chess has beside the strong queen also a strong archbishop and strong chancellor. If afer a few moves the game has opened then it gets soon a tactical game and the most tactical beast will win this game.
