A player rated 1900 obviously knows quite a lot about chess too, else more
players would be rated 1900 and higher. DWZ ratings are usually somewhat lower
than ELO numbers.

You could also have posted: "Thanks for information". This would have made more
sense IMHO. When it is about my coming across his lower rating and your
concluding that it doesn't mean he doesn't have a higher rating, it is pretty
funny - as he is a German without an international rating the DWZ number is also
his only official rating ;) . If ChessBase really wrote that he held a master
title in chess, I would first wonder what that is supposed to mean in this
context, and then ask them how they came to this conclusion.
