I just ran a 1 PC Engine Tournament (DOUBLE ROUND ROBIN)and Fritz 8 (8.0.0.23)
did not do as well as expected. I have had similar results with the 8.0.0.8
Engine as well.
Has anyone had similar results with Fritz 8 while running 1 PC Engine
Tournaments?
I am assuming that Fritz 8 would perform better with a longer time control.
However, a longer time control for this Tournament...(56 Games),would take quite
some time to run, as this one in particular took almost 20 hours.
Other than Fritz 7, DF7 and Hiarcs 8 which used their own Opening Books, (Hiarcs
8 used the Tournament Book Version) Fritz 8 and all other engines used the Fritz
8 Opening Book.
