Even if the OS could tell the real from the fake cpus, how is it
supposed to know what to schedule where? This can never work as
intended.

PS. I don't own Pentium 4's, so I can't verify whether it's really
fixed in Windows 2003 Server. But it has functions to determine
HT cpus and such, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't. IIRC I've seen
reports that it was, too.
