Because of the different variables i.e. different books, ponder off, ponder on and change of Tiger styles it is hard to draw conclusions, simply observe. If I do this again, all games would be run under identical situations We know Ruffian doesn't like ponder on ...but how much difference did it really make? Excluding Ruffian 2 and CM 9000, according to SSDF, there is a 93 ELO difference between top (Shredder 7.04 and bottom ChessTiger 15) with a +/- 26-31 or a potential 57 point swing. Now it all of a sudden seems possible to have that fluctuation with what could be a mere 36 point difference. Regards, Paul
