In every game where Ruffian plays 1. c4 Shredder 8 replied 1...e5 but only after
pondering. Don't Shredder 8 have a book reply to 1. c4? My CD won't arrive till
next week so I can't check it myself.
Is this book Shredder 8's?
What book did Ruffian use, the Leiden book?.
I will shortly test the Leiden version after my current set up is finished. As
you say the Leiden version was being tested for a long period prior to Leiden
and it is possible that it is stronger.
Thanks,
Sarah.
