Wim van Beusekom (author of MacChess) visited the tournament last weekend,
and tells me "Arthur" (programmer Walter Ravenek) was running on
Walter's '"old" 120 MHz Mac'. (A Power Mac 8500/120, I believe).
This was a good tournament for "Arthur" - it drew the supercomputer
"CilkChess 2.0", and beat Nimzo '99. I wonder if "Arthur" would have done
even better with faster equipment, like a 400MHz G3.
"Arthur" placed 4th in 1995 and 5th in 1996.
