Thanks, Geoff.

Are files compacted or zipped on CDs?

Also, I wondered whether or not the [unzipped?] file would be the final *.exe
file or some other intermediate file which "self-compiles" to a larger *.exe
file.

I guess you are saying "no" to both questions.  Right?
