Not really, because it is a matter of credibility.

If I say something not real people will not trust me anymore.

Uri had to admit that for Shredder 7.0 and 7.04 I was right with my
expectations.
Previously I was wrong with Shredder 5, but I was referring something from a
friend of mine, not from my own tests. This is why lately I made tests
personally too!

The testings tells Shredder 8 is at least more than 50 points stronger than
S7.04

I have runned a match against Deep Fritz 8 at 90 minutes games (on equal
hardware) and a friend of mine at 40/2+20/1h (with Deep Fritz 8 running on a
twice faster computer thant Shredder 8 preliminary version) and Shredder 8 won
both matches. It is better not to give details to avoid "strange"
comments...sorry but I am too involved, so I better stay as general as I can.

The indications were that Shredder 8 was stronger than 7.04 more than 50 points
(with the same CB GUI), but since these games together were less than 300 we
cannot consider tham too reliable.
So a 50 points increase seems more realistic to me. I am too busy working on the
book improvements to make too many test games. The time available to work on the
book is limited and I have to optimize the use of it. The stronger the programs
become the more difficult and accurate the moves selection must be and to find
novelties as well.

However here, in this forum, there are indipendent testers and they will be able
to tell if I am correct or not with these expectations.
Of course the most reliable result is the SSDF list.

As I said, for me to make the opening books is a hobby and a challenge at the
same time.
If it was for the money I get from this hobby I would have even never started at
all!
