well, my opinion is, that nowadays chessprograms can achieve results even like
super GMs but with a totally different playing style - you know, when you would
take another viewpoint e.g. from the engines point of view you can also say: "I
do not understand those humans - this simple tactical loss of a pawn in 12 moves
was oversean by him but then he cames out with such a strong positional move ->
sometimes take play like top programs, sometimes like the upper class and
sometimes like childs" - Shredder ended... :)

The simple fact is, that chess engines play chess totally different then humans
do - they get better and better to hide this, sometimes we even think that they
have a plan (which is with current algorithms simply nonsens). I believe that
even in more then 10 years you will find positions where engines look totally
stupid... to us - the humans...

Greets, Thomas

P.S.: Well, when thinking about books - this is grown theory over 100 and more
years - a GM with let's say an opening knowledge of 1900 - e.g. Lasker - would
have really problems facing nowadays opening knowledge at a tourney... not only
chess programs have advantages out of the grown knowledge - also all the
players... besides: 3. Ld3 in the french did really make me upset in Graz... :)
Great research, great move... you bookcooker guys are even as magic as the top
programmers like Stefan, Frans, Christophe, Amir, Shay, Chrilly, Mark and all
the others...
